Nail Art Tutorial – Seamless Black – Simple Negative Space Design

20150828_223510a

Hi guys, I’m back with new nail art! 🙂 Did you miss me? Even just a little? :p I also worked on a new logo and placement (again) and this time I think I finally got something that I like and will stick with for a while. So let’s get to the design:20150828_230510aThe Nail Art:

For today;s look I wanted to create something super basic but also edgy so I made a simple negative space design that will also work as a background for any extra design details. I was originally going to paint some roses/flowers over it but as you can tell, I ended up changing my mind and went with some studs! I love how edgy it turned out I didn’t film a tutorial for the stud arrangements as it was a last minute change but the tutorial for the first look can be found below. 🙂

The Tutorial:

Colors used:

Milani – Black Magic
Salon Perfect Top Coat
Tools:

Hey look, new nail set! lol It’s another recreation of a previous mani, you may recognize it? Check out the original manicure here! this set and many others are available on Etsy. I also have some other fun nail art stuff listed now like custom made embellishment sets, blank nail sets, and I also do custom orders if you ever want something hand designed just for you. 🙂 Wear them, frame them, or give them as gifts! haha

Nail Art Tutorial – Tropical Chevron Nails – Nail Art Stamping

20150630_231810The Nail Art: Time for something a bit more colorful and summery :). I had 1 item left to review for BornPretty which was image plate Qgirl 018 (id# 16463) so I tried to incorporate it into this design somehow. It has a lot of fun images on it and I especially love the caveman vibe, but I wanted to see if I could use the images in an unexpected way (different from the theme of the plate). So I opted for the leafy image as it kind of reminded me of palm leaves so I based the design around that aspect. The plate stamps really well and if you decide to check it out you can save a bit of money with code QUENW10 for 10% your purchase. That way you will have a little bit extra to put towards even more nail art :p haha. Anyways here is how I created this look:

Nail Art Tutorial – Diy Matte Skull Nails – Quilted Skull

20150621_220422aThe Nail Art: I wanted to keep today’s design simple because the heat here is really making me not want to do anything other than take a long cold shower. lol Recently I received this image plate for review so I thought this would be a great time to use it. I ended up just simply stamping it (had to test it anyways right? :p) and then I thought some little studs would be a nice addition. 🙂 I ended up doing this design over 3 times because the stamped image wasn’t coming out very crisp. I had to fill in some of the design myself with paint but you can still see a lot of empty spaces and gaps in the image. Luckily the messed up stamping kind of adds to the grunge look of this design.

Nail Art Tutorial – DIY Colorful Mermaid Nail Design – Sea Princess

20150616_003132The Nail Art:

Summer is upon us here, and boy is it hot! All I have been wanting to do is go swimming and maybe see a few mermaids lol. I haven’t been able to go yet, so for now I will have to deal with mermaids on my nails! :p

20150616_003106The pink gems I used in this look were sent to me by bornprettystore (item #20581) and I thought they would incorporate nicely into this design. They are pretty big and the pinks ones are actually the smallest in the set. You can see in the picture how much they still stick out. I don’t know how I will ever use the other colors but they are really pretty so I must find a way! :p

Here is everything I used to create this look:

  • I applied a layer of top coat and began adding on my embellishments
  • Finally, I let everything dry and the look was complete.

Nail Art Stamping – Marsala

20150604_140953aThe Nail Art:

When I look at my nail polish stash there always seems to be at least one color that just catches my eye, every time. Yet for some reason I still end up not choosing it. This beautiful Marsala color called You Goji by Sinful Colors has been that color! I just couldn’t figure out what design I wanted to use it in… until now that is! I decided to just go for it and also picked out a couple random items including a second nail color as well as a stamping plate. Time to get creative!

Here is what you will need:

How-to:

I started by applying 2 coats of Sinful Colors You Goji and allowed it to dry for a while.

Next, using Kleancolor Metallic Yellow I stamped on the bottom right image from Cici&Sisi plate 23 onto all of my nails.

I then sealed in the design with a matte top coat and added a gold square stud to the center of each nail for an extra touch. And there you have it; this quick and simple nail design is complete! 🙂
