Nail Art Tutorial – Seamless Black – Simple Negative Space Design

20150828_223510a

Hi guys, I’m back with new nail art! 🙂 Did you miss me? Even just a little? :p I also worked on a new logo and placement (again) and this time I think I finally got something that I like and will stick with for a while. So let’s get to the design:20150828_230510aThe Nail Art:

For today;s look I wanted to create something super basic but also edgy so I made a simple negative space design that will also work as a background for any extra design details. I was originally going to paint some roses/flowers over it but as you can tell, I ended up changing my mind and went with some studs! I love how edgy it turned out I didn’t film a tutorial for the stud arrangements as it was a last minute change but the tutorial for the first look can be found below. 🙂

Hey guys! Here is that new nail art I promised you :p Might be the only one for this week so hope you like it :p haha. This was one of those fun and random kind of nail designs. I starting noticing I haven’t done a skittle mani or a mix and match design in quite a bit so I made one! And look, I used pink! lol Check out the tutorial to see how I created perfect pink stripes!

Hope you all have a great week!

I still really love this design! It is one of my favorites; if I may say so. :p Anyways, I hope you guys like it too and like with all of my nail sets this one is available in my Etsy shop. Nail Art Stamping – Rebel

20150516_213927a

I mustache you all a question: Are you guys following MoYou London on Instagram? Because they are doing their monthly contest! It only lasts for this week so go check it out! This month the theme is to create a manicure inspired by one of their pin up characters. For today’s entry I chose the model from the Rebel Collection. I decided to make a look based on her clothing, but I also added in the little mustache she is holding. 🙂20150516_213923I was happy to know that I have a green color that matches her skirt pretty good, not so happy that I redid this manicure about 3 times because I could not stamp the lines straight enough to save my life lol. I pretty much gave up and dealt with it. It’s not that bad for my third attempt, only the pinky is a bit wonky. The excuse I am going to go with is that the lines on her shirt aren’t perfectly straight either haha. Here are the products I used to create this look:

Sinful Colors – Snow Me White

Kleancolor – Black

Revlon Colorstay – Spanish Moss

Wet n Wild Matte Top Coat

3d Nail Art – Lolita

20150407_031448I am bad…So I first posted the practice nail of this design over a year ago stating I wanted to make a full set of it. Yeah, haha, I don’t know why it took so long but I did do it! It just took more than a year to do so. lmao :p. I apologize! But, may I just add that even though I am late with it, I love how it turned out! lol It makes me so happy when my original ideas end up looking exactly like what I had envisioned, because let’s face it, it doesn’t always work out that way.

20150407_031527I was having such a hard time coming up with a name for this design though (which some of you may have noticed, naming my nail art is one of my favorite aspects :p). I was getting so many different vibes from this design; on some degree it has an urban appeal to me, yet it also looks sporty and also reminds me of some Lolita or Hime Gyaru dresses. I am still not sure what exactly it reminds me of so I just stuck with Lolita lol. What would you call this design? 😛20150407_031605One of my favorite elements of this manicure (besides the lovely 3d roses) is the “sweetheart” half moon part, it is a nice twist to the normal half moon manicure style. To create it I started with a white base and while the polish was still tacky I placed some gold micro beads at the base forming the top of a heart shape. I then filled in the base with a mixture of topcoat and various loose gold glitters. After that, I placed vertical strips of black striping tape and topped them off with some raspberry 3d flowers. I sealed in the design with top coat to keep everything in place and to add some extra shine. Here are the products I used to create this fun look:

Sinful Colors – Snow Me White

NYC – Pink Promenade

Stamping Nail Art – Coloring Book

20150210_010241Well isn’t this just a hot mess. Seriously though I messed up in so many spots, but oh well. After spending a ton of time trying to fix it I just ended up messing it up more, so I gave up and snapped pics like it was the most beautiful design ever! Got to work with you got, right? In all honesty it really isn’t that bad, I am just poking fun because I was so annoyed with all of the squiggly lines haha,

I was going to go a different route with this design to begin with, but then I decided to try out the lead light technique (where you color in the image after it has been stamped). Ideally you are to use sheers/tints or jelly polishes, as to not cover up the outlines, but I don’t have many polishes like that so I used the sheerest yet bright colors I had. Which were: NYC Jacaranda Flower and Milani Neon Pink Rocks! Maybe that was part of the problem with this design too haha. This technique works best over white so I started with a base of Kleancolor White then stamped with Kleancolor Black using a few images from Mash plate 64. After filling that in I sealed the design with Wet n Wild Matte Top Coat and wished I had just used a regular gloss top coat instead. lol
