Nail Art Tutorial – Black And Gold Diamond Nails

The Nail Art:

I am on an easy nail art streak! :p This design may look fancy and complicated but it was super simple to create. All you need are a couple coordinating nail polish colors, some tape or a piece of plastic, rhinestone chain or regular rhinestones, and of course some top coat. Let’s get started!

Nail Art Stamping – Zodiac

Hello everyone! This is my second entry into the MoYou London Instagram contest. This time I chose the pin up character from the Zodiac Collection. I was really drawn in by her colorful hair and whimsical pose, so I based today’s nail art mostly off of those elements.20150518_235233I focused on her hair color as my nail polish base and sponged on a purple, teal and blue ombre. I next took some inspiration from her v-neck blouse and created a V going down my nail with a silver Holo polish, I opted for this color to represent the stars she has on and that is represented in the theme of this collection. I really wanted to stamp some stars over the silver but I did not have any MoYou plates with stars :/. I decided to choose a more “whimsical” like pattern and ended up going with the little lace detail from Tourist plate 07. I incorporated some silver star rhinestones and black rhinestones on my accent nail to pull the look together and I completed the look by applying a layer of Seche Vite top coat. Here are the products I used:

Negative Space Nail Art – Moroccan Appeal

How many polishes have you bought  that you still have yet to use? Too many for me! I always seem to buy a handful here and there, and tell myself that I will use them all in upcoming nail art but it just never seems to work out. I am trying to get to all of them before they just get forgotten on the shelf amongst the other array of colors. So I am starting off with a few Salon Perfect polishes from a previous buy that I have slowly but surely started to use (one by one). For instance in today’s nail art I used Salon Perfect Gone Sailing.

Isn’t it a lovely color? Teals and Turquoises are definitely some of my favorite colors and here I have paired it with one of my now favorite nail art technique/style – Negative Space.

I created this nail look by applying a very thin layer of Milani 3D Holographic polish in the color 509 HD. My aim was to only have a bit of the color popping through.

After that I used Kleancolor Black to stamp on a geometric design from Pueen plate 89. The great thing about stamped negative space designs is that the image selection is really endless. Almost any image will work to create a negative space effect when stamped over your bare nails. 🙂

After stamping all of my nails I proceeded to outline/frame the outside of my nails using a small detailing brush and black acrylic paint.

When that was dry I began placing striping tape to form a diamond shape in the center of each nail. I then filled in the shape with 2 coats of Salon Perfect Gone Sailing. I quickly removed the tape and outlined the edges of the diamonds with black acrylic paint.

Lastly I placed an optional rhinestone at the center of each diamond to create an alternative look as well as make the holo glitter pop out more. I completed the look by applying a layer of Wet n Wild Matte Top Coat

False Nail Set – Feeling Floral

20141223_163510 20141223_163548Hello lovelies! How is your week going so far? Have I ever mentioned that Wednesday is my favorite day of the week? Well it is 🙂 and today I bring you the false nail version of my Feeling Floral manicure that I posted earlier this month. It is pretty much the same design except I used a different base color; I actually like it on this color better. What do you think? ❤

Negative Space Nail Art – White Lace – A Formal Nail Design

20150420_005306a 20150420_005320aHello! How was everyone’s weekend? Fantastic I hope! 🙂 I don’t really have a story or a reason why I decided to do this formal looking design… I didn’t go to a wedding or any fancy parties. No, I was just being a couch potato and enjoying some peace and relaxation when my mind decided to get loud with a bunch of design ideas. I specifically kept seeing white lace in my mind so I went ahead and got my nail art on and created this look. It was kind of funny at the time because my nails were all fancy while I was just frumping it up on the couch. I guess they got invited to a party and I didn’t. lol. But hey, I figure some spring formals or perhaps even prom is around the corner for some school kids out there so maybe they can draw some inspiration from this design and wear it to a dance or something. :p Anyways, here are the products I used to create this look:
