Nail Art Tutorial – Seamless Black – Simple Negative Space Design

Hi guys, I’m back with new nail art! 🙂 Did you miss me? Even just a little? :p I also worked on a new logo and placement (again) and this time I think I finally got something that I like and will stick with for a while. So let’s get to the design:20150828_230510aThe Nail Art:

For today;s look I wanted to create something super basic but also edgy so I made a simple negative space design that will also work as a background for any extra design details. I was originally going to paint some roses/flowers over it but as you can tell, I ended up changing my mind and went with some studs! I love how edgy it turned out I didn’t film a tutorial for the stud arrangements as it was a last minute change but the tutorial for the first look can be found below. 🙂

20150806_135805bThe Nail Art:

Well these turned out much more ‘sexy’ than I had intended haha but oh how happy I am with these! I have had this design in my head for quite a while but kept pushing them off because I was afraid of how long they would take to make haha. They did take a while.. but I finally had more than enough time :p. Want to know how I created these lacey negative space nails? Watch the tutorial below or click here. Let’s get started!

Nail Art Stamping – Pro

So here is my 3rd entry into the Instagram contest. This time I chose the model from the Pro Collection and I pulled my inspiration from her pencil skirt and thigh high stockings. Her stockings are not as noticeable in the smaller cropped image of her but it is more apparent in the full pictures of her. I suppose in comparison though, the design on my nails in upside down. lol

20150521_205326For the lace part I taped off the tips of my nails and stamped on a lace image from MoYou London plate Bridal 07 with Kleancolor Black. I then placed another piece of tape leaving only the tips of my nails revealed, and filled it in with Color Club Rad Nomad (I think this color is retired). I then cut a small piece of black striping tape to place down the center of each nail and applied top coat to complete this lace stocking look. Here are the products I used:

Color Popped Negative Space Nail Art Designs

april1I thought that these 2 designs complimented each other really well so I made a little comparison collage! They both have a similar design style, and I also used Salon Perfect polishes in both haha. Goals are being accomplished here! lol I was really happy with how both of these turned out and they might just be some of my favorite manicures to date. I can’t choose between them! :p

More details about each design can be found here:

2. Moroccan Appeal

Have a wonderful weekend everyone! ❤

Negative Space Nail Art – Moroccan Appeal

How many polishes have you bought  that you still have yet to use? Too many for me! I always seem to buy a handful here and there, and tell myself that I will use them all in upcoming nail art but it just never seems to work out. I am trying to get to all of them before they just get forgotten on the shelf amongst the other array of colors. So I am starting off with a few Salon Perfect polishes from a previous buy that I have slowly but surely started to use (one by one). For instance in today’s nail art I used Salon Perfect Gone Sailing.

Isn’t it a lovely color? Teals and Turquoises are definitely some of my favorite colors and here I have paired it with one of my now favorite nail art technique/style – Negative Space.

I created this nail look by applying a very thin layer of Milani 3D Holographic polish in the color 509 HD. My aim was to only have a bit of the color popping through.

After that I used Kleancolor Black to stamp on a geometric design from Pueen plate 89. The great thing about stamped negative space designs is that the image selection is really endless. Almost any image will work to create a negative space effect when stamped over your bare nails. 🙂

After stamping all of my nails I proceeded to outline/frame the outside of my nails using a small detailing brush and black acrylic paint.

When that was dry I began placing striping tape to form a diamond shape in the center of each nail. I then filled in the shape with 2 coats of Salon Perfect Gone Sailing. I quickly removed the tape and outlined the edges of the diamonds with black acrylic paint.

Lastly I placed an optional rhinestone at the center of each diamond to create an alternative look as well as make the holo glitter pop out more. I completed the look by applying a layer of Wet n Wild Matte Top Coat
