https://www.etsy.com/shop/BaroquenNails Hi everyone, hope you are having a great week so far! Today’s nail set is a recreation of a mani I posted a while back (with the same name) see it here to see what I am talking about. :p They are exactly the same design, even though I like to change the design up sometimes when I recreate it but I didn’t do that this time. Anyways, this set and many others are available on Etsy. I also have some other fun nail art stuff listed now like custom made embellishment sets, blank nail sets, and I also do custom orders if you ever want something hand designed just for you. 🙂 Wear them, frame them, or give them as gifts! haha
Hi guys! How was your 4th of July weekend? (to those whom celebrate it). Hope you had fun and stayed safe :). Today I bring you some matte grayscale leopard nails with an added pop of color…. Wait a minute, I just realized that this is like my 3rd nail design using this grey polish. They were all matte as well (there was the moon nails and the quilted skull nails). Haha well I guess for some reason I have just been into gray/grey; whichever way you choose to spell it. I personally switch between the two all of the time. Okay, I am getting off track now – back to the nail design! So for this matte gray design I opted for some leopard print and decided on a grayscale/monochrome/black and white look lol. I was originally just going to stamp on a leopard print to make it quick and easy but then I decided to hand paint it all because I really wanted the grey print to be only a few shades darker than the base. Since I didn’t have a nail polish that was within a few shades of the base color, I went ahead and mixed black and white acrylic paint to ensure the perfect tone. To add a little pop and pizazz ( I really wanted to say that for some reason – I’m so lame haha) I added a bright blue/aqua color in a base triangle with a stripe. And for the tip of the day: to get the perfect stripe I painted strips of striping tape (that was a bit f a tongue twister there lol) with the same blue polish and then applied them to my nails. So much easier than trying to get a nice clean line with a wonky striping brush :p. Here is the Tutorial:
Salon Perfect – Nail Lac Haze
Revlon Colorstay – Coastal Surf
Hi everyone, happy Friday! It is starting to get warmer here, really warm… in the 80s f already. It keeps changing though; one day it was 83 then the next it was 65 then back up. Pretty annoying, must be global warming. And wow I am talking about the weather because that’s interesting… Lol anyways I thought it was the perfect time for some bright sunny yellow nails..with leopard! This is sort of a recreation of one of the first manicures I ever uploaded here, but revamped. Here is what I used:
Sinful Shine – Bananappeal
Color Club – Earthly Angel
Kleancolor – Black
Seche Vite – Top Coat
Cheeky plate 2
This was the original practice nail for the 80’s leopard design I posted a couple weeks ago. I originally wanted to use this black diamond chain in the full set, but it didn’t work out for some reason. Anyways this might be the last practice nail I post, I am thinking of doing something new on Mondays.
Here are my ideas so far:
- Swatches – A different color from my collection each week that may lead into Wednesday’s design.
- Tools – A new or basic tool and what they are used for, possibly with examples
- New Items – A picture and info on any new nail items I get. Nail polish, tools, accessories, etc.
- Tips and tricks.
- Something new in general- I am still brainstorming :p
- Random – Might use all ideas and just choose a different one each week.
What are your thoughts on this? Is there anything particular you would prefer? 🙂 I would love to hear your feedback ❤
I have a pretty simple set for you guys today! It wasn’t exactly my plan to make these 80’s themed however, but by the time they were finished that is the appeal I felt like they had. lol I think it was from the sponged teals and the chunky leopard print :P. I sponged 2 teal colors, YH Beja Cosmetics Nail polish #38 and Kleancolor’s Catch Me, there is also a bit of white sponged on. The silver is by Milani 3d Holographic #509 HD, which I love!! I also free handed some chunky leopard spots and embellished with gray rhinestones. Does this set remind you of the 80’s too? 🙂
Leopard is such a classic and timeless print; it is also one of the easiest designs to freehand! Unfortunately with leopard being such a popular print sometimes it can get boring. I decided to spice it up a bit by adding a pop of red. The red and the 3d rose add a touch of elegance to this design while the gold studs add a modern vibe. All in all I think the end result has a classy and Spanish flare to it. Viva la Nails! haha
