Nail Art Tutorial – Sea Love Using Nail Decals

20150726_012139b

The Nail Art:

Hello! πŸ™‚ I have some more nail decals to show you today. They are gold sea life themed decals from BornPrettyStore. For this design I wanted to keep the color combination simple and opted for a white and tan gradient with a gold accent nail. I also ended up making a second variation that includes a little cameo over the accent nail. I am not sure which I prefer… I love me some 3d nail art but I actually like the subtly of the first design better. :p Which is your favorite?

The Tutorial for the first design can be found below, or you can watch it here. ❀

The Review:

The brand of these decals is ‘Magico’ and it includes one sheet that is decently sized (bigger than the lace sheet from Friday’s design). They are very pretty and there are a lot of individual designs to choose from. There are different types of seashells, mermaids, coral, starfish, etc; there are even a few Little Mermaid themed ones on there! However, the gold is like a foil material and it may bleed or crack with certain top coats. I found that only one of the decals bled and and cracked but it was barely noticeable, overall they are much better than other gold foil stickers I have tried. However, they are a bit pricey for what you actually get (as far as my budget is concerned). If you want to check these nail decals out more click here. Also if you decide that you want to purchase anything from their store, feel free to save 10% with code QUENW10.

Hand Painted Nail Art – Sweet Florals

20150507_220330a

Hey look, more roses! I needed a bit of a break after doing so many stamped designs last week so here is another attempt at some freehand flowers. The roses themselves are a bit blothcy.Β  Again, they looked great in low-light but in the picture they were not blended enough. It’s okay though because I am living for this ombre! Isn’t it lovely? ❀ Here is what I used:

Colors:

Sinful Shine – Al Fresco

Sinful Colors – Candy Coated

White Acrylic Paint

Teal Acrylic Paint

Nail Art Stamping – Zodiac

20150518_235109a

Hello everyone! This is my second entry into the MoYou London Instagram contest. This time I chose the pin up character from the Zodiac Collection. I was really drawn in by her colorful hair and whimsical pose, so I based today’s nail art mostly off of those elements.20150518_235233I focused on her hair color as my nail polish base and sponged on a purple, teal and blue ombre. I next took some inspiration from her v-neck blouse and created a V going down my nail with a silver Holo polish, I opted for this color to represent the stars she has on and that is represented in the theme of this collection. I really wanted to stamp some stars over the silver but I did not have any MoYou plates with stars :/. I decided to choose a more “whimsical” like pattern and ended up going with the little lace detail from Tourist plate 07. I incorporated some silver star rhinestones and black rhinestones on my accent nail to pull the look together and I completed the look by applying a layer of Seche Vite top coat. Here are the products I used:

Colors used:

Milani – Violet Dash

LA Girl Disco Brites – Vinyl Record

Sinful Shine – Al Fresco

Milani 3D Holographic – HD

Kleancolor – Black

False Nail Set – Geometric Ombre

20140808_160238Hey guys! This is actually a re-post of a previous set (new picture though). I was looking through all of my nail sets and started reminiscing and since this set is still available in my store as well, I thought it would be nice to share again. I actually like this picture better than the original however; I format them a bit differently for Instagram due to the size difference. Hope you guys like it! I will be back on Friday with some new nail art πŸ™‚
