Nail Art Tutorial – Sea Love Using Nail Decals

The Nail Art:

Hello! 🙂 I have some more nail decals to show you today. They are gold sea life themed decals from BornPrettyStore. For this design I wanted to keep the color combination simple and opted for a white and tan gradient with a gold accent nail. I also ended up making a second variation that includes a little cameo over the accent nail. I am not sure which I prefer… I love me some 3d nail art but I actually like the subtly of the first design better. :p Which is your favorite?

The Tutorial for the first design can be found below, or you can watch it here. ❤

The Review:

The brand of these decals is ‘Magico’ and it includes one sheet that is decently sized (bigger than the lace sheet from Friday’s design). They are very pretty and there are a lot of individual designs to choose from. There are different types of seashells, mermaids, coral, starfish, etc; there are even a few Little Mermaid themed ones on there! However, the gold is like a foil material and it may bleed or crack with certain top coats. I found that only one of the decals bled and and cracked but it was barely noticeable, overall they are much better than other gold foil stickers I have tried. However, they are a bit pricey for what you actually get (as far as my budget is concerned). If you want to check these nail decals out more click here. Also if you decide that you want to purchase anything from their store, feel free to save 10% with code QUENW10.

Nail Art Tutorial – Black And Gold Diamond Nails

The Nail Art:

I am on an easy nail art streak! :p This design may look fancy and complicated but it was super simple to create. All you need are a couple coordinating nail polish colors, some tape or a piece of plastic, rhinestone chain or regular rhinestones, and of course some top coat. Let’s get started!

3d Nail Art – Lolita

20150407_031448I am bad…So I first posted the practice nail of this design over a year ago stating I wanted to make a full set of it. Yeah, haha, I don’t know why it took so long but I did do it! It just took more than a year to do so. lmao :p. I apologize! But, may I just add that even though I am late with it, I love how it turned out! lol It makes me so happy when my original ideas end up looking exactly like what I had envisioned, because let’s face it, it doesn’t always work out that way.

20150407_031527I was having such a hard time coming up with a name for this design though (which some of you may have noticed, naming my nail art is one of my favorite aspects :p). I was getting so many different vibes from this design; on some degree it has an urban appeal to me, yet it also looks sporty and also reminds me of some Lolita or Hime Gyaru dresses. I am still not sure what exactly it reminds me of so I just stuck with Lolita lol. What would you call this design? 😛20150407_031605One of my favorite elements of this manicure (besides the lovely 3d roses) is the “sweetheart” half moon part, it is a nice twist to the normal half moon manicure style. To create it I started with a white base and while the polish was still tacky I placed some gold micro beads at the base forming the top of a heart shape. I then filled in the base with a mixture of topcoat and various loose gold glitters. After that, I placed vertical strips of black striping tape and topped them off with some raspberry 3d flowers. I sealed in the design with top coat to keep everything in place and to add some extra shine. Here are the products I used to create this fun look:

Colors used:

Sinful Colors – Snow Me White

NYC – Pink Promenade

Gold Glitter

Seche Vite Top Coat

Stamping Nail Art – Allure

Yay you get to see more ghost pictures… lol At least they are elegant ghost pictures…? All that matters is the design (right?), and this design is simple yet elegant.

I started by applying Revlon Bare Bones then stamped over it with Wet n Wild A Show At The Palladium using the lined pattern from Cheeky plate CH11.

I sealed the design with a layer of top coat and before it fully dried I added gold diamond chains.

For the second variation I added gold micro beads to each intersection creating a quilted look. Even though I love micro beads, I surprisingly kind of prefer the first design; I just like the simplicity of it. What about you? ❤
