Hi guys! I have a re-post for you today of a very early nail set! See the original here. I still love this design and I have actually been wanting to recreate it as a manicure again (see original manicure here) I may change the colors though; I still except custom orders for this design in my Etsy shop and someone once ordered them in purple and they were super cute, so I may go with that! In the mean time do you guys have any design requests for when I return from my Birthday break? Please let me know, I would love to her your ideas! ❤
Hope you all enjoyed your weekend! 🙂 Didn’t I tell you guys I was going to post more of those freehand floral wheels? Well I hope you aren’t sick of them already haha but if you are – don’t worry because this is the last one….for now :p. I am pretty happy with these, I can certainly see improvement. I focused more on painting roses for this one and I love how the pink one at the bottom left turned out – so gorgeous. Which one is your favorite? 🙂
Hi guys! How was your 4th of July weekend? (to those whom celebrate it). Hope you had fun and stayed safe :). Today I bring you some matte grayscale leopard nails with an added pop of color…. Wait a minute, I just realized that this is like my 3rd nail design using this grey polish. They were all matte as well (there was the moon nails and the quilted skull nails). Haha well I guess for some reason I have just been into gray/grey; whichever way you choose to spell it. I personally switch between the two all of the time. Okay, I am getting off track now – back to the nail design! So for this matte gray design I opted for some leopard print and decided on a grayscale/monochrome/black and white look lol. I was originally just going to stamp on a leopard print to make it quick and easy but then I decided to hand paint it all because I really wanted the grey print to be only a few shades darker than the base. Since I didn’t have a nail polish that was within a few shades of the base color, I went ahead and mixed black and white acrylic paint to ensure the perfect tone. To add a little pop and pizazz ( I really wanted to say that for some reason – I’m so lame haha) I added a bright blue/aqua color in a base triangle with a stripe. And for the tip of the day: to get the perfect stripe I painted strips of striping tape (that was a bit f a tongue twister there lol) with the same blue polish and then applied them to my nails. So much easier than trying to get a nice clean line with a wonky striping brush :p. Here is the Tutorial:

Yep that’s right! I finally started to make video tutorials for my nail designs. It took hours to film and edit and it is not the best, but I am hoping it will improve with time. And, while I was at it I figured I might as well upload them to YouTube as well. So say hello to the new Baroquen Nails’ YouTube Channel! lol There is just the one video at the moment but I am aiming for 2 uploads a week so stay tuned. 🙂
Feel free to share your thoughts and recommendations!
The Nail Art:
I have been wanting to create another Alice In Wonderland themed mani for quite a while now, I just love Alice In Wonderland so much! Who else is with me? :p
- I started by applying 2 layers of Sinful Colors Snow Me White and let it dry.
- Next, using Kleancolor Black I stamped on a diamond pattern from Cheeky Beauty image plate CH6.
- I then applied a layer of Seche Vite and let it dry completely before moving on.
- When the polish was dry I used 2 pieces of clear/scotch tape to create a ‘V’ going down my nails.
- I filled in the V with Salon Perfect Baby Blues and quickly but carefully removed the tape and gave it a few minutes to dry.
- Next, using some Black acrylic paint, a dotting tool, and a nail brush I painted on a card/suit symbol on each blue triangle.
- Lastly I sealed in the design with a final layer of Seche Vite top coat.

The Nail Art:
It’s still picnic season, time to visit the park and roll out that classic gingham print blanket, light up the grill and gaze at the beautiful flowers! Why not add a bit extra flare with some coordinating nails? 🙂 I was actually inspired by a fashion photograph I came upon on instagram a while back. I can’t remember who it was by, as I just happened to scroll past and I didn’t save it (it wasn’t until now that I even thought about it again). It was of a girl wearing a red gingham dress holding a bouquet of yellow daisies and I thought they complimented each other nicely so I based today’s design off of that pairing. 🙂
(if you happen to know what photo I am talking about please let me know!)
I applied 2 coats of a white base using Sinful Colors Snow me White and then I stamped on a red gingham pattern using Kleancolor Bite Me and Mash image plate 50. Next, I used some yellow acrylic paint and a nail art brush to paint on some little daisies in random spots. I added a white dot to the center of each flower and sealed in the design with a layer of Wet n Wild Matte Top Coat to complete this picnic styled look.
