Nail Art Tutorial – Pink Geometric Tribal Mix – Nail Art Stamping

20150903_000211cThe Nail Art:

Hi guys! 🙂 I was in a stamping mood and created this fun pink geometric tribal-ish manicure. I really just grabbed a couple random plates plus a few polishes and challenged myself to come up with a design using some of the images. I kind of wish I picked something other than pink, but whatever I had fun with it :p. This look was really easy too! Check out the tutorial below. ❤

Nail Art Tutorial – Seamless Black – Simple Negative Space Design

Hi guys, I’m back with new nail art! 🙂 Did you miss me? Even just a little? :p I also worked on a new logo and placement (again) and this time I think I finally got something that I like and will stick with for a while. So let’s get to the design:20150828_230510aThe Nail Art:

For today;s look I wanted to create something super basic but also edgy so I made a simple negative space design that will also work as a background for any extra design details. I was originally going to paint some roses/flowers over it but as you can tell, I ended up changing my mind and went with some studs! I love how edgy it turned out I didn’t film a tutorial for the stud arrangements as it was a last minute change but the tutorial for the first look can be found below. 🙂

Nail Art Tutorial – Black And Gold Diamond Nails

The Nail Art:

I am on an easy nail art streak! :p This design may look fancy and complicated but it was super simple to create. All you need are a couple coordinating nail polish colors, some tape or a piece of plastic, rhinestone chain or regular rhinestones, and of course some top coat. Let’s get started!

Nail Art Stamping – Marsala

20150604_140953aThe Nail Art:

When I look at my nail polish stash there always seems to be at least one color that just catches my eye, every time. Yet for some reason I still end up not choosing it. This beautiful Marsala color called You Goji by Sinful Colors has been that color! I just couldn’t figure out what design I wanted to use it in… until now that is! I decided to just go for it and also picked out a couple random items including a second nail color as well as a stamping plate. Time to get creative!

Here is what you will need:

I started by applying 2 coats of Sinful Colors You Goji and allowed it to dry for a while.

Next, using Kleancolor Metallic Yellow I stamped on the bottom right image from Cici&Sisi plate 23 onto all of my nails.

I then sealed in the design with a matte top coat and added a gold square stud to the center of each nail for an extra touch. And there you have it; this quick and simple nail design is complete! 🙂

Simple Nail Art Using Essie Nail Wraps

20150506_234913aDoes anyone else have problems using nail wraps? I have never been too fond of them because I always seem to have problems with them adhering to my nails smoothly – I think my nails are too curved for them to work properly. It kind of makes me sad because there are so many cute designs out there! Sometimes I will just buy them anyways, thinking I will make them work somehow, but they just end up sitting in a box somewhere 😦

Well not anymore! I decided to give them one more try, this time by cutting them into smaller pieces and using them more like decals. In today’s design I used Essie Nail Wraps called Glam It On placed over Sinful Colors Winterberry (Yay another unused polish down – a few hundred more to go! lol). I kept the overall design of this manicure super simple as it was more of a test design than anything else.

20150506_234802aI started with 2 layers of the metallic purple and while I was waiting for it to dry I began cutting even strips of the nail wraps. I then placed a strip at the center of each nail and smoothed them out the best that I could. I decided to not apply any top coat so that the nail wraps wouldn’t warp. This also allowed for me to test the durability of the nail wraps on their own and I found that they stuck to my nails quite good!

I was pretty happy that by cutting the wraps into strips I was able to apply them to my nails a bit smoother. There were still some lumps in a few areas, which I expected a few, but overall it worked out much better for me this way. I am hoping I can use all my nail wraps this way now!
