Nail Art Tutorial – Seamless Black – Simple Negative Space Design

20150828_223510a

Hi guys, I’m back with new nail art! ๐Ÿ™‚ Did you miss me? Even just a little? :p I also worked on a new logo and placement (again) and this time I think I finally got something that I like and will stick with for a while. So let’s get to the design:20150828_230510aThe Nail Art:

For today;s look I wanted to create something super basic but also edgy so I made a simple negative space design that will also work as a background for any extra design details. I was originally going to paint some roses/flowers over it but as you can tell, I ended up changing my mind and went with some studs! I love how edgy it turned out I didn’t film a tutorial for the stud arrangements as it was a last minute change but the tutorial for the first look can be found below. ๐Ÿ™‚

Tag – All About The Blogger

free-vintage-bluebird-blog-banner-header-1-by-FPTFY

Hi guys! It’s my birthday today and I am enjoying my little break :). I thought it would be fun to share a bit more about myself as a blogger with this tag. I am sure some of you have been a little curious right? :p. So let’s get started!

1. Why did you start your blog?
Goodness there was a lot that went into it, but I will try to keep it brief :p

It took me years to finally start it up and I wanted to remember all of the nail art I had been creating. So at the time I intended on using it as a way to keep track of my nail art and how I created it or felt about it in that moment. (Like a personal nail art gallery or diary if you will) However, I did style my posts so that other people could read them as well – since this is a blog after all. lol I never really expected anyone actually being interested in my nail art though. I was also a little shy about it but after I started receiving a few followers here and there I did gradually update it so that my blog could be for anyone who wanted to read it. I continue to add new things and improve my blog for readers to this day. ๐Ÿ™‚

2. Do you like your blog name?
Yes! I love it! Sorry that sounds conceited but I really am happy with it.I had actually started out with a different name (Lacquered Lily) in the beginning but it turned out someone already had the same exact name and was also a nail blogger. So to avoid confusion I spent countless hours over the course of a few days until I came up with the perfect name (to me anyway) lol. I didn’t want to settle with something I could potentially get bored of later, you know? ๐Ÿ™‚

3. How long do you plan on having your blog?
I hope to keep it going for as long as I can do nail art; I have no intentions of quitting anytime soon. ๐Ÿ™‚ I could use a break every now and again though hehehe.

4. Where do you get your inspiration (for your blog) from?
I dove in without any idea how to swim. I pretty much just picked a theme (not much to choose from) and then used Googleย  (a lot) to find out how-to add other little things I wanted lol. Like all of the buttons and other added visuals are images that I created myself. I think I am still using the same exact theme I started out with too, now that I think about it. ๐Ÿ™‚

5. Do you normally create an outline before you do a post, or do you just go with the flow as you make the post?
Yes, I try to keep a consistent style throughout all of my posts. However, what I am specifically writing about is generally a go with the flow situation. haha ๐Ÿ™‚

6. How long does it normally take you to finish your posts?

It varies depending on the content for that day. Sometimes it can take less than five minutes and other times it can take hours! :O

7. How many times a week do you try to post?
Three times a week. Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. That is a lot of nail art ๐Ÿ˜€

8. Do you find it hard to maintain your blog?
Ever once in a while, yes, but consistency is key! Creating a schedule really helps, because then I can plan other things around it rather than scheduling my blog around other things ;). If that doesn’t work out there is always “scheduled posting”.

9. If you have one, what is your follower goal?
For this blog, I honestly have no goal. I am happy with whatever โค

10. Who do you tag to do this next? (Optional)
Anyone who would like to do it! Have fun! ๐Ÿ™‚

If there are any other tags you would like me to do, don’t hesitate to mention them in the comments or tag me! I hope to do one of these every once in a while. Have a wonderful day! ๐Ÿ˜€

False Nail Set – Damask And Diamonds Repost

29Hi guys! I have a re-post for you today of a very early nail set! See the original here. I still love this design and I have actually been wanting to recreate it as a manicure again (see original manicure here) I may change the colors though; I still except custom orders for this design in my Etsy shop and someone once ordered them in purple and they were super cute, so I may go with that! In the mean time do you guys have any design requests for when I return from my Birthday break? Please let me know, I would love to her your ideas! โค

Tag – Love/Hate With A Twist!

freHi guys and happy Friday! Sorry for the lack of posts on Wednesday (and now today) it always takes so long to put together new looks now that I am creating videos; I keep running out of time to complete everything :/. I am hoping to return with new nail art on Monday though :).

I also want to mention that my birthday is next Friday and I have a lot of stuff planned over that week/weekend and so I may take a nice break from blogging (I’m sorry but I could really use one). I don’t want to completely leave you guys in the dust though so I am thinking of doing reposts or maybe even features. Let me know what you think โค

For the time being I thought it would be fun to do another tag! This tag is the “Love/Hate” tag. I think it’s supposed to be just a general “about me” tag but since this is a nail blog I thought it would be fun to put a twist on it and make it nail art/polish related! So let’s get into it shall we? ๐Ÿ˜€

The Rules:ย

  1. Share 10 things youย love and 10 you hate (about nail stuff :p hehehe)
  2. Nominate up to 10 blogs to do the same

T h i n g s ย I ย L o v e

  1. I love how relaxing painting nails can be.
  2. I love solid opaque colors the most.
  3. I love nail stamping, it is so fun!
  4. I love how I get to let my imagination run free. :p
  5. The possibilities are endless!
  6. The nail community is such a fun and inviting one ๐Ÿ™‚
  7. I love the first smell of a freshly opened new nail polish (is that weird? haha)
  8. I just love how many different colors there are out there in the nail polish world! So many!
  9. I love seeing other people’s amazing nail art! So many creative ladies out there! ๐Ÿ™‚
  10. I love all of the support from my lovely followers, you guys make nail art that much more fun!
  11. I just love nail art!! hehe

T h i n g s ย I ย H a t e

  1. When I break a nail! Noooo! haha
  2. When my freshly completed design accidentally gets smudged.
  3. When I forget to go to the bathroom before I start a manicure/design! hahaha The struggles are real!
  4. When top coat smears my stamping designs ๐Ÿ˜ฆ
  5. When top coat shrinks!
  6. Chalky nail polish formulas :/
  7. Polishes that look opaque but are actually sheer
  8. When my 3d nail art pops off ๐Ÿ˜ฎ
  9. When glitter gets EVERYWHERE haha
  10. When I accidentally forget to screw the lid on all of the way on a bottle of nail polish. :O

Wow I thought the toughest part of this was going to be thinking of things I hate about nail art! There is nothing to hate about nail art!! :p How many of these are the same for you!? Let me know in the comments ๐Ÿ™‚

Btw.. I am supposed to tag 10 other bloggers to do this, but I am just going to say that if any of you want to do this tag – feel free to! ๐Ÿ™‚ You can say that I tagged you if you want though. Have fun! โค
