Nail Art Tutorial – Black And Gold Diamond Nails

The Nail Art:

I am on an easy nail art streak! :p This design may look fancy and complicated but it was super simple to create. All you need are a couple coordinating nail polish colors, some tape or a piece of plastic, rhinestone chain or regular rhinestones, and of course some top coat. Let’s get started!

Nail Art Tutorial – Diy Matte Skull Nails – Quilted Skull

20150621_220422aThe Nail Art: I wanted to keep today’s design simple because the heat here is really making me not want to do anything other than take a long cold shower. lol Recently I received this image plate for review so I thought this would be a great time to use it. I ended up just simply stamping it (had to test it anyways right? :p) and then I thought some little studs would be a nice addition. 🙂 I ended up doing this design over 3 times because the stamped image wasn’t coming out very crisp. I had to fill in some of the design myself with paint but you can still see a lot of empty spaces and gaps in the image. Luckily the messed up stamping kind of adds to the grunge look of this design.

Nail Art Tutorial – DIY Colorful Mermaid Nail Design – Sea Princess

20150616_003132The Nail Art:

Summer is upon us here, and boy is it hot! All I have been wanting to do is go swimming and maybe see a few mermaids lol. I haven’t been able to go yet, so for now I will have to deal with mermaids on my nails! :p

20150616_003106The pink gems I used in this look were sent to me by bornprettystore (item #20581) and I thought they would incorporate nicely into this design. They are pretty big and the pinks ones are actually the smallest in the set. You can see in the picture how much they still stick out. I don’t know how I will ever use the other colors but they are really pretty so I must find a way! :p

Here is everything I used to create this look:

Click here to watch the video tutorial ❤

  • I started with 2 coats of Milani Orchidia
  • Next, I used a makeup sponge to dab on some hot pink using Salon Perfect Perky Pink
  • I then went in with a bit of a metallic gold using Wet n Wild A Show At The Palladium
  • Next, using Sinful Colors Snow Me White I stamped on the fish scale pattern from Mash 39
  • I applied a layer of top coat and began adding on my embellishments
  • Finally, I let everything dry and the look was complete.

I had so much fun with these and they were so simple to create!

Here is what you will need:

View the video tutorial here.

  • I started by applying 2 coats of Sinful Colors Snow Me White and allowed it to dry.
  • I then cut a small piece of a make-up sponge (or feel free to use a cotton swab) and dipped it into some Salon Perfect Carbon-Copy and randomly dabbed it all over my nails.
  • Next, I dabbed on a bit of Salon Perfect Nail Lac Haze in a small area of the nail and added a bit more of the light grey and some white. I continue to blend the colors, adding more as I went,
  • After sponging on the colors I applied a layer of matte top coat, and gave it a minute or 2 to dry (but not all of the way).
  • Next with a dotting tool (or an end of a bobby pin) I lightly patted random areas of the nails with the end to create little craters/indents. This will give dimension to the design and make it look more realistic.
  • Finally I just let the my nails dry fully and I was feeling out of this world. lol

Nail Video Tutorial – Alice In Wonderland

Yep that’s right! I finally started to make video tutorials for my nail designs. It took hours to film and edit and it is not the best, but I am hoping it will improve with time. And, while I was at it I figured I might as well upload them to YouTube as well. So say hello to the new Baroquen Nails’ YouTube Channel! lol There is just the one video at the moment but I am aiming for 2 uploads a week so stay tuned. 🙂

Feel free to share your thoughts and recommendations!
