20141223_163510 20141223_163548Hello lovelies! How is your week going so far? Have I ever mentioned that Wednesday is my favorite day of the week? Well it is 🙂 and today I bring you the false nail version of my Feeling Floral manicure that I posted earlier this month. It is pretty much the same design except I used a different base color; I actually like it on this color better. What do you think? ❤

Negative Space Nail Art – White Lace – A Formal Nail Design

20150420_005306a 20150420_005320aHello! How was everyone’s weekend? Fantastic I hope! 🙂 I don’t really have a story or a reason why I decided to do this formal looking design… I didn’t go to a wedding or any fancy parties. No, I was just being a couch potato and enjoying some peace and relaxation when my mind decided to get loud with a bunch of design ideas. I specifically kept seeing white lace in my mind so I went ahead and got my nail art on and created this look. It was kind of funny at the time because my nails were all fancy while I was just frumping it up on the couch. I guess they got invited to a party and I didn’t. lol. But hey, I figure some spring formals or perhaps even prom is around the corner for some school kids out there so maybe they can draw some inspiration from this design and wear it to a dance or something. :p Anyways, here are the products I used to create this look:

Revlon Colorstay – Stiletto

Sinful Colors – Snow Me White

Nail Art Stamping – Bright Brocade – Matte Nails

20150420_185744aHello!! It’s Friday, whoop whoop! Do you remember my Mad Hatter nails? Well quite a few people seemed to like it, they especially liked my pinky nail. lol So I decided to just go ahead and do a whole manicure like that nail. I really wanted to put something else over the design as well, like a chandelier or something, however nothing was working and I actually thought it looked good as is. Literally, I mean I did not even apply a top coat to this design, it just didn’t need one at the time…Wish I would have applied a gloss coat for the sake of a second picture at least though. This was the only decent photo I got out of about 15 snapshots! 😮 Anyways here are the materials I used to create this simple colorful look:

Nail Art Wheel – Quirky Doodles

20150107_113420I was supposed to have posted this last week, as part of my monthly nail art wheel thing but I forgot so I am posting it today instead :p. This was another one of those wheels where I just went with the flow and it resulted in some pretty, um interesting, designs. Yeah, especially that brown one at the very bottom…What the heck was I thinking? I mean maybe it would have looked better with different colors lol. Oh geez, and that yellow and purple one next to it… Uh huh that was supposed to be a flower, but it just looks like a weird butt hole. It is okay to laugh. Jokes aside, there are a few that are actually pretty cute; or at least have the potential to be. Like the burgundy one with the feather at the bottom right and the red henna one at the top right. Those are decent, but it could just be in comparison to the other ones lol. I still had fun playing around and practicing my drawing skills though so it was worth it. Nail art is always fun 🙂

3d Nail Art – Mystical Mermaid

20150316_201812aHi guys! Some of you might remember a mermaid design I posted a long time ago called Mystic Mermaid. Well, this is basically a revamped version. I have been wanting to recreate it for some time and when I found some mermaid charms online I thought it would be the perfect time to do so! It is pretty close to the original but it also has a bit more flare to it now and I am really happy with how this one turned out 🙂

Around the same time I was creating this look (which was actually back in march- I was holding off posting it) I came upon Nail It Magazine’s search for some themed manicures to feature in their upcoming issues. They called it Snapshot and “Mermaids” was one of the themes for their upcoming July/August issue so I thought I would give it a shot and went ahead and submitted this look.

One of the requirements was to include a brief How-to, which was kind of tricky for me to keep “brief” because I really put so much into this design lol so I wish it was a little better written. Anyways, I took the liberty of including that how-to below, so if it doesn’t end up in their magazine at least it is here :).

I started by applying a layer of Color Club Metamorphosis then sponged on Wet n Wild Stay Outta My Bismuth and KleanColor Mystic Grass in random areas. I then stamped over three fingers using a scales image from Pueen plate 15 with Kleancolor White. I adorned those same nails with various sized pearls, gold micro beads, and a couple 3mm gold seashell studs. I also added a gold mermaid charm for an accent nail, and completed the look by applying Seche Vite Top Coat.
I got all of the embellishments from Ebay.

Colors used:

Color Club – Metamorphosis
Wet n Wild Chrome – Stay Outta My Bismuth
KleanColor – Mystic Grass
KleanColor – White (for the stamping)
